No. For motorhomes and campervans, we cover the base vehicle’s mechanical and electrical components (such as the engine, gearbox, suspension, brakes, and factory electrical systems). Still, we do not cover habitation parts and fittings, such as kitchens, bathrooms, water systems, furniture, heating units, or interior fixtures.
Yes. If a fault is complex, the diagnosis is unclear, or the costs are unusually high, we may ask for further diagnostics, photographs or an independent inspection by a repairer we nominate. This helps ensure that the correct part is being repaired or replaced and that the work is in line with normal motor-trade practice and our plan limits.
In some cases, the cause of a fault is not apparent until certain parts have been tested or stripped down. We may authorise reasonable diagnostic work first and then decide on the repair once the cause is confirmed. Diagnostic and strip-down costs are covered when we authorise a covered repair. If no covered fault is found, those costs remain your responsibility.
