Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions

1
Can I still go ahead with repairs if you have not authorised them?

You are free to proceed with repairs at your own cost, but repairs started without our authorisation may not be eligible for reimbursement. In an emergency out-of-hours situation, you can authorise repairs at your own risk and submit invoices and evidence afterwards. Still, any contribution we make will be discretionary and limited to what we would have authorised under normal procedures.

2
What happens to my plan if I sell my vehicle, it is written off or I no longer need the cover?

If you sell your vehicle, it is written off, or you otherwise no longer need the cover, please contact us. Depending on the circumstances, we may be able to transfer the plan to a replacement vehicle or consider issuing a pro-rata refund in line with our cancellation terms. Any refund or transfer is always at our reasonable discretion and may involve fees or deductions.

3
What happens if an authorised repair does not fully fix the problem?

Where an authorised repair has been completed, but the fault persists, we may ask the garage to re-test the vehicle. If additional covered components are found to have failed as part of the same event, we may consider them as part of the same repair request, subject to your plan’s limits and exclusions. We will not authorise unnecessary or speculative replacement of multiple parts without clear evidence.
