The main exclusions are routine service, maintenance and consumable items (for example tyres, brake pads and discs, fluids, filters, wiper blades, bulbs and fuses), diagnostic investigations where no covered fault is found or no authorised repair goes ahead, corrosion, rust and gradual deterioration that is not covered as wear and tear under the plan, damage from accidents, impact, collision, neglect, misfuelling, misuse, overloading or off road or competition use, environmental damage such as flooding, general water ingress, contamination or animal infestation, and cosmetic body and trim items such as paint, body panels, glass, upholstery and weather seals. No. You do not have to use a main dealer, but services must be carried out by a VAT-registered garage using OEM or manufacturer-approved parts and in line with the manufacturer’s service schedule. We may decline or limit a repair request if there is clear evidence that missed or poor-quality servicing has contributed to the failure.
We aim to review repair requests promptly and fairly once we have all the necessary information and diagnostic evidence. Typically the same day we receive this information. Timings can vary depending on the complexity of the fault, the quality of information provided by the repairer, and parts availability. However, our goal is always to minimise delays and get you back on the road as soon as possible.
