Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions
We cover reasonable labour time at the garage’s normal hourly rate, whether this is a VAT-registered independent garage, a specialist, or a main dealer. Our repair process will always prioritise using a suitable VAT-registered independent garage first. However, if a specialist or main dealer is required and their rate is reasonable for the area and type of work, we will also cover that. There is no separate labour rate cap, but all repairs remain subject to your overall per-repair limit.
If you pay for your Warranty Plan through a finance company such as Payment Assist or Bumper, you’ll have two separate agreements: your Warranty Plan with us, and your finance agreement with them. The finance provider pays us for your plan and then collects the repayments from you under their own terms. If you miss payments, they may add charges or take action, but this does not automatically cancel your Warranty Plan or give you a right to a refund; your cover continues under our Warranty Terms unless we confirm otherwise in writing. If you’re struggling to make your repayments, you must contact your finance provider directly, as we can’t change or manage your finance agreement for you.
If a repair request is declined, it is usually because the fault falls outside the plan’s terms, limits, or exclusions (for example, due to an excluded component, lack of servicing, or pre-existing fault). We will explain the main reason where possible. You remain responsible for any diagnostic or repair costs where the fault is not covered under the plan.
