What counts as a “pre-existing fault” under the plan?

A pre-existing fault is any mechanical or electrical issue that existed before you bought the plan, during the waiting period, or that would reasonably have been apparent at that time (for example, an existing warning light or previously undiagnosed fault). Pre-existing faults are not covered, even if they are only repaired after the plan starts.

Will you ever ask for a second opinion or independent inspection before approving a repair?

Yes. If a fault is complex, the diagnosis is unclear, or the costs are unusually high, we may ask for further diagnostics, photographs or an independent inspection by a repairer we nominate. This helps ensure that the correct part is being repaired or replaced and that the work is in line with normal motor-trade practice and our plan limits.

Can I transfer my plan to a different vehicle if mine is written off or stolen?

If your vehicle is written off or stolen, please get in touch with us as soon as possible. We may be able to transfer the remaining cover to a replacement vehicle that meets our eligibility rules (for example, age, mileage, and vehicle type), or consider a pro rata refund at our reasonable discretion. Vehicles that have been written off (categories A, B, C, D, N or S) cannot be covered under the plan.
