Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions

1
What if I miss or delay a service for a genuine reason?

We understand that life happens, but regular servicing is essential. If a service is slightly delayed for a genuine reason, we will look at each case individually. However, if there is clear evidence that missed or significantly overdue servicing has contributed to a component’s failure, we may decline or limit the repair request. Keeping on top of servicing is the best way to protect both your vehicle and your cover.

2
Can I still go ahead with repairs if you have not authorised them?

You are free to proceed with repairs at your own cost, but repairs started without our authorisation may not be eligible for reimbursement. In an emergency out-of-hours situation, you can authorise repairs at your own risk and submit invoices and evidence afterwards. Still, any contribution we make will be discretionary and limited to what we would have authorised under normal procedures.

3
Do you cover tyres, brakes, service fluids and other routine maintenance?

No. Tyres, wheel balancing and alignment, brake pads and discs, brake fluid, filters, oils, coolants, AdBlue, air conditioning re-gas and other routine service items and fluids are classed as maintenance and are excluded. These remain the vehicle owner’s responsibility, unless replacement is required as part of an authorised covered repair.
