Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions

1
Are both mechanical and electrical faults included?

Yes. The plan is designed to cover sudden mechanical or electrical failure of covered components during normal vehicle use, within your plan’s terms, limits, and exclusions. This includes both traditional mechanical components and modern electronic modules, sensors and control units.

2
What happens if my vehicle needs strip-down or further diagnostics before you can decide?

In some cases, the cause of a fault is not apparent until certain parts have been tested or stripped down. We may authorise reasonable diagnostic work first and then decide on the repair once the cause is confirmed. Diagnostic and strip-down costs are covered when we authorise a covered repair. If no covered fault is found, those costs remain your responsibility.

3
What evidence do you need for wear-and-tear or MOT-related repair requests?

For wear-and-tear or MOT-related faults, we may ask for detailed diagnostic reports, MOT documents, service history and photographs of the failed component. We need to confirm that the fault has arisen within the terms of the plan, that servicing requirements have been met.
