Your rights and options when cancelling your warranty
Cover Me Warranty Ltd
1. Your Right to Cancel
At Cover Me Warranty Ltd, we understand that circumstances can change. This policy explains your rights and the process for cancelling your vehicle warranty.
Cover Me Warranty Ltd (Company No. 16509552), trading as Cover Me Warranty (FRN: 1036767), is an Appointed Representative of Match Me Car Finance Ltd (FRN: 803714), which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. We are appointed to offer credit options to fund your chosen warranty plan. We do not receive a commission for introductions to any credit provider.
Please note: We are not a regulated insurance provider. All warranty plans we offer are discretionary in nature and not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
2. Cooling-Off Period
14-Day Cooling-Off Period
You have the right to cancel your warranty within 14 days of purchase without giving any reason. The cooling-off period begins from:
- The date you receive your warranty documentation, or
- The warranty start date, whichever is later
Full Refund Conditions
You are entitled to a full refund during the cooling-off period provided that:
- No repairs have been made or are pending
- No services have been used under the warranty
- The warranty has not been activated for a repair
3. Cancellation After the Cooling-Off Period
Monthly Payment Plans
If you are paying monthly through our finance partner Bumper, please note that you can only cancel your PayLater agreement during the 14-day cooling-off period.
Should you wish to cancel or otherwise terminate this Agreement, you will need to pay the outstanding balance of the Invoice Amount in full by contacting Bumper:

If the PayLater Agreement has been arranged entirely over the telephone or via a website, you also have a statutory right of cancellation under The Financial Services (Distance Marketing) Regulations 2004. To exercise this right, you must give notice of cancellation within 14 days (starting the day after you receive a copy of the PayLater Agreement).
To cancel, contact Bumper using the details above and provide:
- Your full name
- Address
- Confirmation that you wish to cancel
If you exercise this statutory right, you must still pay the outstanding Invoice Amount to Bumper in full within 30 days. Please note that cancelling your warranty plan with us does not automatically cancel your finance agreement with Bumper.
If you exercise a statutory right to cancel your contract for goods or services with us (Your Merchant), then the PayLater Agreement shall also be terminated. We will work with Bumper to ensure any funds you have already paid are refunded to you as soon as possible (subject to any deductions for goods or services already received by you).
Important: We do not offer refunds after the 14-day cooling-off period, but your warranty plan may be transferred to another eligible vehicle, subject to our approval.
Annual Payment Plans
We do not offer refunds after the 14-day cooling-off period. However, if an exception is made at our discretion, refunds will be calculated as follows:
- Pro-rata refund based on remaining full months
- £50 administration fee will be deducted
- Any claims paid or pending will be deducted
- A minimum of 25% of the premium will be retained

- Your warranty number
- Vehicle registration
- (Optional) Reason for cancellation
5. Cancellation by Cover Me Warranty
We reserve the right to cancel your warranty under any of the following circumstances:
- You fail to make premium payments
- You provide false or misleading information
- You breach the terms and conditions of the warranty
- Your vehicle no longer meets the eligibility criteria
- Fraud is suspected or confirmed
6. Refund Process
Refund Timeline
- Cooling-off period cancellations: Within 14 days of your cancellation request
- Other cancellations: Within 30 days of approval
Refund Method
Refunds will be made using the same method used for your original payment. If you financed the warranty through Bumper, refunds will be issued in line with Bumper's refund process.
7. Non-Refundable Circumstances
No refund will be issued if:
- A claim has been paid that exceeds the refundable amount
- The warranty has been cancelled due to fraud
- The vehicle has been written off or stolen
- You have breached the terms of the warranty
8. Transfer Instead of Cancellation
If you sell your vehicle, your warranty may be transferable to the new owner. This is subject to:
- Our approval
- The new vehicle meeting our eligibility criteria
- Payment of any applicable transfer fee
