Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions

1
What is Cover Me Warranty?

Cover Me Warranty offers a discretionary mechanical and electrical repair plan for eligible cars, vans, motorbikes, motorhomes, and campervans, including petrol, diesel, hybrid, and electric vehicles. If a covered component fails during your plan, we may pay for the cost of parts and labour to repair it, within the terms, limits and exclusions set out in our Warranty Terms.

2
Do you cover hybrid and electric vehicle systems, including high voltage batteries?

Yes. For hybrids and EVs, we cover the major high-voltage systems as well as the usual mechanical and electrical components. This includes drive motors, reduction gear, inverters, power control units, battery management systems (BMS), high-voltage junction boxes and cables, on-board chargers, and high-voltage traction battery failure. Normal battery capacity loss or range reduction over time (degradation) is not covered.

3
Do you cover corrosion, rust or general deterioration?

Corrosion, rust and gradual deterioration of any component are not covered. These are treated as part of the normal ageing process of a vehicle. However, if a covered mechanical or electrical part fails in a manner that meets our definition of mechanical or electrical failure, we will consider it in accordance with the plan’s terms, even if the vehicle is older.
